Beginners Mini - Curling League

"We provide curling for all 2010 Winter Olympic Hopefuls ;-) and those looking for a unique experience."
  • What: Designed mostly for the beginner and 1st year curlers. Emphasis will be placed on development and understanding through demonstration and game play. Experienced curlers will be on hand to assist or play.
    • Week One will have a volunteer club member demonstrating the basics for those new to the game while those who have already taken our Learn to Curl Program or have curling experience, will get a refresher and additional focus on how to improve their accuracy and weight.
    • The remaining weeks will be spent learning the entire game, strategy, rotating each player on a team among the 4 positions so you can see the complexity and importance of each position as we play the game. Afterward, we will "broomstack" upstairs in the lounge and raise our favorite beverage and toast a good game of curling and review what you learned.
  • When: Tuesday Night - 5 weeks - Starting May 27th- June 24th at either 7:00pm or 8:30pm lasting 1.5- 1.75 hours each week.
