Special events are one off eventS that we can predict will have a good turnout to help us cover the cost of the ice so they have now become regular yearly events you can plan on.
01Free Open House Typically the first weekend in October, we offer a brief open ice for anyone who want to try sliding a stone on the ice. All on us. Both Saturday and Sunday. The experience is brief but could be more involved depending on the turnout. A great no commitment way to see if you like curling
02Thanksgiving Learn to curl/ Open play A holiday weekend that would likely interrupt our regular leagues but might interest people with family in town looking for a fun activity.

04Valentine Learn to Curl Typically the weekend closest to February 14th, we have found curling is a great way to spend a unique time with that special someone in your life. However, we don't offer this in an Olympic year since our club will be overwhelmed by the Olympic furver
05St Joseph vs Kansas City curling clubs Typically for experienced curlers, our respective clubs will pit 4 to 5 team against each other for fun and bragging rights. Last year we did this in November in St Joe and in April in Kansas City.
