8th Annual Open KC Barbecue Bonspiel

This weekend curling competition is open to local curlers, and individuals or teams from other curling clubs across the continent.

Spectator Information:

: Spectators are encouraged to drop by and watch for FREE! First Draw starts at 6:00pm on Friday . Games continue on Saturday from 9:00am - 6:30pm with a cold draw to the button contest at 1:30pm. The four event finals will finish up on Sunday 9:30am-12:00pm. No tickets or reservation necessary, just stop in and learn the strategy, terminology, sweeping and curl from players of the game while experiencing the actual dimensions of a curling sheet, first hand.

Participant Information:

Our Bonspiel is an "OPEN" Event. Bring a team or join us as an individual, couple, group of friends. However many curlers you have, members from our club will gladly fill out your team if needed.

About KC....

	$380 Team entry fee or $95 per curler. Individuals accepted (we can find KCCC Members you can curl with).
	Open Spiel: All Participants Welcome. 3 Game Guarantee, 8 End Games, 4 Event Winners.
	Food and Drink provided throughout the event. Enjoy our KC Hospitality.
	Barbecue dinner provide on site Saturday night. A member of "Dead Last BBQ" and curler will help with preperations. His team took 18th overall out of 195 team at the "Great Lenexa Barbecue Battle" in June
	6pm, 8pm, and 10pm Friday night first draws. Spiel concludes on Sunday at 1:30 PM.
	Registrations are kindly requested by June 1st to assist with planning. Final Deadline: 30 Teams or July 29th
	"Level I" Certified Instructor Clinic offered Friday Afternoon - August 5th. Class is $45 per Individual USCA Member or $73 Non-Member Register for Clinic (Click Here)...

rubber-soled shoes to grip the ice, clean of debris
layered loose fitted clothes to keep you warm at roughly 45 degrees
bike or skate helmet optional. *We have limited helmets for your use if you want the additional safety

easy to learn, but difficult to master!
is more physically demanding than it looks, but is attainable by all who are moderately fit
requires no special equipment to get started
can be played by people aged 10-80+, male or female

Unless stated, all of our programs are open to all, regardless of experience.
You can sign up individually, with friends, or create your own team of 4 with our without subs.
